20/9/2016 Finance... in 90 seconds (or less)
One of the origins of this project was the realisation that in the current climate of crazy rents, young chefs need financial sponsors to make their restaurant dreams come true. But sitting over the table from a money-man or banker can not only be an intimidating experience, but can be packed with jargon that at best puts you on the back foot, and at worst can lead you into signing contracts that might seriously run against your own best interest.
In this, my 'leadership blog' I will run a series of articles on the basics of money and accounting, so you can take leadership on your finances also. It is not supposed to be totally comprehensive, for that, there are long courses and large books. But what it aims to do is to demystify the jargon, give you a basic understanding of terms, and knowing those terms, allow you to do further research on your own should you wish.
And since I know that nobody wants to be reading long articles on finance, I will seek to keep each of my finance blog posts to a size that can be read in 90 seconds or less. These blog posts are key-worded 'Finance' so you can use the filter below to bring up the series should you wish. That's the idea behind my finance series, in 90 seconds or less. Comments are closed.
